Weeks 33 & 34

It's been a great two weeks since I have blogged last.  I can't say I am really uncomfortable yet, however my back has been aching a bit more and every now and then I seem to get this shooting pain down my hip/groin area that makes it feel like a nerve is getting hit and causes my leg to give out.  Oh the things pregnancy can do!  The other day I had one of those sharp pains all of a sudden that just kind of caused my leg to give out so I kind of buckled over and I must have made some noise like "ohh".  Not a good idea to do with the hubby near by.  I didn't think anything of it since I was used to the feeling now, but I think I scared Char a bit as he did not know what "ohh" was supposed to mean or what was going on.  Anyways, like I said, other than that things have been going well.  We have our final "monthly" appointment this coming Thursday and then we will start weekly appointments.  Time sure continues to keep flying by.

Last week I was surprised by the ladies at my office, their daughters and an old co-worker who all threw a baby shower for me.  Charlie told me that my boss' husband had called him and was wondering if Charlie could help him move something at their house, so we headed over to their house Saturday day morning to "help move something" as far as I knew.  As we pulled up, something started to click.  I quickly noticed there were several vehicles parked on the street and driveway that I recognized.  I think I remember turning to Charlie and saying..."oh no, this is a surprise shower for me isn't it, we aren't moving anything".  Don't get me wrong it wasn't that I wasn't excited, you would just get a kick out off how that morning went at our house before we headed to town.  I got up a little before Charlie and decided I was just going to skip a shower because it was a Saturday morning and were were just going to help move something and then head home and work on house projects.  So...I skipped a shower, threw my hair in a ponytail (which apparently was a mess according to Charlie) and put very little makeup on-somehow Charlie did get me talked into putting some eyeliner on.  I was just going to leave my sweats too, however thankfully Charlie got me to somehow throw some jeans on and a nice zip up jacket.  You would probably get a kick out of it, because it is so not like me to not want to take a shower, leave the house in sweats and with very little makeup on, so Charlie had to work a little bit to try and get me to look decent so I wouldn't kill him later ;)  Anyways it was a great shower, I had so much fun!  We had a nice breakfast, played some fun games, and I was showered with so many gifts.  Thank you so much ladies!

Other than that, some other projects we have accomplished at the house lately: installed the island/peninsula & counter top in the dinning room, put car siding on the wall in the dinning room and in the baby room, put trim up in the baby room, touched up paint spots throughout the house, put air/heat ducts and electrical outlets in the baby room and also made a door for the baby room!  It was a very productive weekend.  I am so thankful for such a handy hubby...I am a happy mama.  And no I am not nesting at all ;)

Weeks 31 & 32

Happy October!  Wow I just cannot believe how fast time seems to be flying by.  Life continues to be busy but everything is going well and baby seems to be continuing to grow and move around a lot. Two weekends ago we went up to Sioux Falls for a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my parents anniversary, nephew's birthday and spend some time at the Apple Orchard in Harrisburg, SD with my side of the family.  We first went to a local park and had some fun playing ball and grilling lunch outside.  It was a beautiful day!  We then headed over to the Apple Orchard.  The kiddos had fun checking out the baby animals on the farm, riding the train and picking out apples and pumpkins to take home.  It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to get to spend some time as a family.  After the orchard we went back to my parents and painted pumpkins together and just hung out.  It was a nice day to get out of town and just enjoy the beautiful weather.

Our first Apple Orchard Experience

Little Miss Baylic has really started to become attached to her uncle...it's so precious

I think Charlie looks a little further along than I do lol :)

I was told I really didn't need to do the girl pumpkin
as everyone seems to think we're having a boy,
but who knows maybe this little one will surprise us all

The following weekend Baby Z. and I had a fun little get away to the cities with Mom Z. and my sister-in-laws Jennifer, Teresa and Angie and nieces Lexi & Erin.  We spent two nights in Albertville, MN.  Teresa and I had a fun ride up Thursday night getting to spend some time chatting with our nieces and sharing stories from our high school years, brought back a lot of memories.  Friday we made a full day of shopping at the Albertville outlets and got back to the hotel that night...ordered some pizza and relaxed in the hot tub (no I did not sit in the hot tub, but yes I did soak my feet as they were pretty tired from a long day of shopping).  Then on Saturday we went to Kohl's for awhile, enjoyed lunch at Applebees and headed back home.  You know it's really tempting going into baby stores even when you don't know what you're having because everything is so darn cute you just can't resist so you have to get a few things of each!  I think I pretty much got everything on my shopping list that I was hoping to get that weekend so it was a successful trip and a lot of fun!  Before I left we also had our 32 week appointment.  Dr. Anderson said everything was looking great and measuring right on so I got the ok to be able to fly to Wisconsin for our upcoming GEM'S Girls Clubs event that my sisters and I are singing for.  I am looking forward to the event, but I can't believe this will be the last True Emotion event for me before this little one arrives.  I'm sure hoping he or she will love music, because I have sure done a lot of singing during this pregnancy!
