Week 11

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to share some good news with all of you. Early on in my pregnancy I was nervous and a little stressed as I was exposed to a toddler that tested positive for CMV (a virus that can be passed to baby when pregnant).  I did research and a lot of reading about what this could mean for our child, and to be honest what I read scared me to death.

At my first appointment they ran blood work to find out if I was exposed and if the virus was active.  My blood work from the OB appointment came back good!  The test showed that I have been exposed to CMV in the past (which is very common for most of us), and therefore I am protected now and do not need to worried about my exposure to it when I came into contact with at 4 weeks along.   I was nervous when my phone rang with the nurse calling to pass along these results, but what she shared with me was such a relief.  God is good!  He is continually teaching me not to worry and put my trust in Him as He knows what is best!

Here are a few pictures of me at 11 Weeks along:

Exciting News!

That's right...
you may have already guessed it by the title of this blog,
but we have some exciting news to share with you,
WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS

(This is how we shared the news with our family)

I am currently 10 weeks along & we are feeling extremely blessed.  Today Charlie and I had our first appointment and got to see the amazing ultrasound pictures of our little one and hear it's tiny little heart working so hard.  It's incredible how God can create something so small and intricate.  We are already in love!

I felt pretty sick from about week 5-8 as I was very nauseous,
had a loss in appetite, heartburn and fought some issues with my acid reflux, but other than that I really can't complain
& have been doing well.  I am feeling quite a bit better now and can tell my appetite is picking up again as my love for chocolate and sweets has come back!

I have taken weekly pictures since we found out we were expecting and although I understand I may not look pregnant at all in the first few, I still thought it would be fun to take them to compare from week to week, so here they are:

We look forward to keeping in touch with all of you and
updating throughout this amazing new chapter in our lives.
