I just wanted to share some good news with all of you. Early on in my pregnancy I was nervous and a little stressed as I was exposed to a toddler that tested positive for CMV (a virus that can be passed to baby when pregnant). I did research and a lot of reading about what this could mean for our child, and to be honest what I read scared me to death.
At my first appointment they ran blood work to find out if I was exposed and if the virus was active. My blood work from the OB appointment came back good! The test showed that I have been exposed to CMV in the past (which is very common for most of us), and therefore I am protected now and do not need to worried about my exposure to it when I came into contact with at 4 weeks along. I was nervous when my phone rang with the nurse calling to pass along these results, but what she shared with me was such a relief. God is good! He is continually teaching me not to worry and put my trust in Him as He knows what is best!
